Spencer County Fiscal Court, through the Parks and Recreation Department, operates two parks and sports leagues. The Parks Department strive to provide leisure time activities for all citizens of the county and their guest. For more information on the facilities and activities call (502) 376-9850. Registration forms for certain sports are available below.

Waterford Park

Waterford Community Park is an 18 acre facility located five miles west of Taylorsville on Highway 44. The park is home to Waterford Homecoming, Spencer County Youth Soccer, Waterford Sports Softball and Spencer County Youth Softball.

Amenities include: picnic shelter, playground, restrooms, .45 mile walking track, fitness stations, basketball court, soccer fields and softball fields.

Ray Jewell Memorial Park

Ray Jewell Memorial Park is an 18 acre facility on Ray Road off of Highway 44 East across from Spencer County High in Taylorsville. The park is home to the Spencer County Youth Baseball.

Amenities include: .55 mile walking track, fitness stations, basketball court, playground, baseball and soccer fields. Construction of restrooms, concession stand and press box is scheduled for early spring of 2007.
